Minister of National Security approves PAB Anti Money Laundering Guidance Notes

On September 8, 2016 the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Robert Montague, MP, issued a Certificate indicating that the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Guidance Notes for the Public Accountancy Board are in congruence to the Proceeds of Crime Act and embodies effective measures that Registrants should follow to prevent and detect Money Laundering.

Registrants are reminded that they should familiarize themselves with the Guidance Notes which have been on this website for over a year.

Registrants should note that based on the provisions of section 94 (7) of POCA, the court is required to consider compliance with the contents of the PAB AML Guidance Notes in assessing whether a Registrant committed an offence under that section or under section 95 of POCA.
